This
question begins to arouse in the minds of Jambites few days after UTME
conclusion. As the UTME 2017 Examination comes to a close, there is need to
have a plan for the next step to take. If it were to be few years back I would
be talking about Post-Utme examinations but owing to the new policy by JAMB it
is no longer like that. As such we focus more on strategic actions to take while
waiting for schools to call for screening.
Now
that you have taken your UTME exam and you have seen your score, what comes
next is preparing yourself for the
screening of your school of choice. Some
schools call for face to face screening while others just require you to upload
your documents, and they do the calculations of your aggregate for you. Preparation
now is not the studies but the presentation to your school of choice.
Take
these cases.
CASE
1: A student score 220 in UTME and going for Medicine and Surgery UNN,
CASE
2: A student with 230 going for Law in UNIBEN.
CASE
3: A student with 198 going for Education In UNILAG.
Seriously?
Yes, some will tell you they believe in Miracles but hey Heaven help those who
help themselves.
There
is need to take action before deciding to push for the POST UTME screening of any
institution. The fact that you score cannot take you into that your institution
for that your course doesn’t mean you can’t get that course in another
institution, with the same score.
There
is need to weigh the odds, if you flop I’m sorry you will have to start afresh
don’t make the mistake of throwing away that your beautiful score due to
ignorance especially for first timers.
We
believe that your score can take you in if you use your head and act wisely.
JAMB
CHANGE OF COURSE AND INSTITUTION will take effect soon, as the link will soon be
updated on the JAMB website.
