Information reaching us has it that the Students Union Government of University of Ibadan have been suspended indefinitely.
Our correspondent confirmed from the Dean of Students affair that the suspension is true he says: the union was not proscribed but was apparently suspended indefinitely.
There was a press briefing by 4pm to inform the General public of the current development.
During the press release the VC spoke saying the Students' Union President publicly insulted
the Vice chancellor at the inauguration speech. Saying that If students' cannot obey the VC, which leads to break down of Law and order, then the senate suspended it activities. He finally pronounced that The Central Union, SU and SRC has been suspended officially by the Senate.
